Colcrys contains anti-inflammatory properties, and is prescribed for the treatment of inflammation experienced during a gout flare and reduces the build-up of uric acid crystals in the joints. It is also used in managing the symptoms of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), a genetic inflammatory disorder.
