Prior to using Spiriva Respimat, patients with the following medical conditions must consult with their doctor first: kidney problems, bladder or prostate problems, glaucoma or a history of allergic reactions to any medicine (especially atropine). Patients must also inform their doctor about other prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins and supplements they are taking. Lastly, those who are pregnant or breast feeding must also consult with their doctor before using Spiriva Respimat.
