It is unknown whether Hydroxychloroquine can prevent muscle cramps as there have not been enough studies done testing the use of Hydroxychloroquine for muscle cramps. The pharmacist suggested trying Quinine 300mg as there is an off-label indication for Quinine to prevent muscle cramps and it occasionally prescribed for this use. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider to determine if Quinine is the appropriate medication for your needs.
